My Goal
This project strives to better connect international students with campus events by creating a platform that not only informs them but also values their input. Emphasizing the significance of each student's voice, the goal is to foster a sense of belonging and empower international students to actively shape the cultural fabric of their academic community. Through personalized notifications and an accessible interface, the platform aims to ensure that every student feels heard and integral to the dynamic social life on campus.
----------
IGNITE, a dedicated organization at Humber College, focuses on supporting international students by actively engaging them in campus activities and addressing their inquiries. The organization provides an informative website to update students about various events.
Despite this valuable resource, a significant number of students remain unaware of both the website and the events it showcases.
Through my research, I aim to enhance the website's effectiveness by incorporating essential elements to increase visibility and ensure international students can easily access and benefit from the information and activities offered by IGNITE.

----------
I employed a multi-faceted approach to gather comprehensive data for my project, utilizing user interviews, surveys, and user testing.
User Interview: Engaged directly with individuals to understand their needs, preferences, and challenges in interacting with the current website.
Surveys: Employed to gather broader insights and opinions from a larger sample of users, providing quantitative data on user expectations and areas for improvement.
User Testing: For hands-on evaluation, enabling me to observe user interactions with the current website and identify pain points or features that require enhancement.
By employing this triangulation of research methods, I ensured a thorough understanding of user perspectives, which informed the decision-making process for selecting and refining features on the website.

Summary
This project aims to enhance students' awareness of events at Humber College by implementing features that not only inform them but also empower active participation. By enabling students to choose and suggest the types of events they prefer, the website interactions will be significantly improved. This approach not only ensures a more personalized experience for users but also fosters increased engagement, encouraging students to participate in activities that align with their preferences.
